living in the epicenter of the coronavirus invasion in the U.S.A. I'm thinking it is my patriotic duty for the protection of others, to self quarantine on a boat out on a lake somewhere. Not showing any signs of being sick but never know might be a carrier so I might have to stay there until spring fishing season is over just in case. I suspect many of you are doing the same thing...for the good of others of course no alterative motives.

I wish. Cook what you catch, and boil the lakewater, you could live out there for awhile.

I thought the nursing home residents in Kiriland (epicenter) weren't allowed to have boats??? Or is it fishing licenses??

Where is the US Epicenter? I just see DC screen name.

I would be on a lake or somewhere too. My Employer has said be careful and stay away from people but still up and running. The same BOSS we have closed all the Public Schools but were still on duty. There is a lot going on with possibilities here currently though. Telecommuting etc.

sure they can and they get a break on the fishing license at age 70 and anyone over 65 are grandfathered in and don't even need a boat operating licenses. This facility is real close to lake Washington. However just to clarify they are considering this whole area as the epicenter since not only was this facility here but the first case in the USA was also in this area.

Jeez--what a deal! I should move in.

I could consider the same thing. Lake Roosevelt is calling but the weather forecaster doesn't sound very encouraging with winds in the double digits from the NE and lows in the teens. Could be a cool ride however.

I'd just like to add, ski boating seems to cause this virus, the ski boaters would be better off staying off the lake!

I'd add any boat that doesn't contain a fisherman.

Make sure it's a drinking water lake and not just a power production get a brand new 5 gallon bucket with a good seal on the lid. Should be enough so you can dump it at night once a day.

Willing to trade Costco 48 roll pack of toilet paper for nice bass boat 😁
Seems like toilet paper is going to be the new currency 😯

Their thumbs are too large to handle anything but their cell phones.

Too cold and windy today to go fishing. Besides my boat is in the boat shop to get the motor replaced. Maybe next week. I don't think fishing brings on a virus, only a fever.
