This dog seems to know when not to interfere
Better hope he does not show his new friend the dogie door.

Poor guy looks kinda forlorn. I guess he knows he doesn't dare do anything about it.

He has probably has been sprayed before. Some dogs learn the first time and some don't. I had a coon hound that had to get a refresher course about every 2-3 weeks.
Man that stinks. Ha Ha But if you look to the right of the bowl he tossed him a few crumbs.

Reminds me of a friend's coon hound bringing her puppies' skunk to him. He was running down the road and she was jumping on his back with the stink cat.
That is the unhappiest dog look I have seen in years. Pepe seems to be doing okay there.
I think the dog was eating first and dropped a few kibbles on the deck then backed off when the skunk barged in
This is a passive dog - a real sweat heart

Like your avatar pic oldsalt. Looks like the one I caught yesterday.
Thanks pb - it was about time I added one
We once had a skunk that lived under our front porch and would come up and share the cats food. When we opened the door she would just waddle off. Never raised her tail. We named her Daisy.
Never see any skunks around my house, but the neighborhood dogs to my house to eat and I can tell they've been chasing a skunk. They don't understand why I don't want to pet them
That sure is a pretty dog in the picture. He does have a sad look on his face though.
