Finally developed a method to catch them!

How are they different behavior-wise from rainbows? We don't have those out here, so just curious.

They do not respond to lures as most big bows do , they must be teased into strikes at times !
They fight very well once hooked up ! We are lucky here in PA to have a decent supply of them !

Beautiful fish. We had those in the wilderness lakes in Wyoming when I was a kid. Grampa called them “Golden’s”

And where do they stock them in San Diego? I lived down there for 25 years and the trout were far and few between. Seems things have changed.

After looking at some old photos I see the ones we had in Wyoming were not the same. Ours were bright yellow like that but had egg shaped spots down their sides instead of a red stripe. Still nice looking fish you got there. Our big ones were, maybe, 3 pounds.
