Dear friends and fishing colleges.
GAS It's nothing to be ashamed of. Gear Accumulation Syndrome is erupting manly during the offseason And may cause storage problems and in some cases family issues. To help those in need, let's open up this subject and share, I will first at the comment. May God help us all.

How many species do you fish for? Like if that’s not unreasonable if you do a ton of multi species stuff.

I think I’m sitting at about 20 some combos, but they are almost all just for bass fishing.

I have maybe 20 combos for bass fishing with a handful of orphan rods and reels floating around that I haven’t figured out what to do with.

Lures/plastics/terminal tackle, there is a lot. Maybe two dozen plano boxes loaded with plastics and maybe a dozen small plastic bins full of my spares. Sometimes it’s only an extra bag or two but like I think I’m literally sitting on 20 unopened bags of Senkos across maybe three colors and have a similar amount of couple of other plastics.

I don’t use a ton of hard baits, but I probably have 4-5 planos full of them and then a huge banker box full of unopened spares.

18 rods and 23 reels. Most of my gear is for salmon and steelhead with a sprinkling of bass/pike/walleye gear.

If boats count I'm screwed. My dad had several growing up, bought my own in 2011, brand new Triton 21TRX. Sold in it 2018 and bought a brand new Phoenix 721, now currently looking at colors for my next Phoenix lol. And of course every tackle locker in it is packed, so.. a ton. But I see no issue.

I have gotten more reels since this pic was taken 6 months ago.

Each reel is paired with a rod.

I still have rods that need reels.

I have a problem....

I don’t even know how many. It’s a lot. I have classic and antique spinning and few BC reels. At least 7 combos ready to go currently with fresh line that’s 2 BC and 5 Spinning.. one is large for Steelhead or Salmon and 4 are for trout .. cats.. or small mouth bass. I have probably 30 or 35 other rods and 10 or so non maintained reels but like I originally stated I don’t Know how many. I also have several old tackle boxes and several I bought or were gifts that I don’t necessarily take fishing every trip but they have some tackle in them. A 1962 15.5 ft Wooden Clipper Craft ... a 1973 Glaspar Fiberglass 14.5 ft An 8 ft Livingston Dingy. A 10 foot Campways whitewater inflatable raft. A 1980 inflatable German raft with canopy and transom. Many 2 cycle outboards 4 electric trolling motors starting with a mini Sevlor up to a large discontinued Sears model. A game fisher electric troller.

I’m as sick with this sport as Egghead.

Just arranging for a 1968 Larson Outboard I think it’s 20 ft. My 73 Glaspar has rotten Transom I discovered it last weekend. So at least I will have a safer hull. Yeehaw.
