Veteran's Medically Therapeutic Fishing Programs

Grandpa Knows How Loc: OC, California

I attended the Fred Hall Fishing & Sports Show in Long Beach California yesterday. I hadn't been to a show in many years and it was a great eye opener. I saw a lot and learned even more.
While attending presentation by HookUp Baits I learned about a Veterans Support Program they provide as well as another Medically Retired Veteran (Dustin - (DixieWrecked Fishing) at (DWFishing.net) who is just starting his own program. Dustin started his program as part of his Medical Therapy. All fishing trips are free to Disabled Veterans and First Responders through donations and merchandise purchases. Dustin is only able to provide one trip a week currently and is trying to improve fund raising to allow more trips for Veterans. Currently he has to physically go back to work next month to earn money to fund his project.

I personally don't need any of the merchandise being sold for fund raising, but he has a place to buy fuel which is where I entered my donations. Remember to look for and purchase "Hookup Baits"

I would like to encourage everyone to make a donation in support of all Veterans.
Thank you for your generous contributions.

There is also a program called Project Healing Waters, Fly Fishing. A nationwide program for disabled Veterans. It uses fly fishing as a rehabilitation program. No cost to the Veteran. Check out their website.
