Pink Zote soap

I've heard this is good for catfish. I would probably boil it and pour it over a treble hook in a small container, and let it harden. Never used it personally, however.

You can buy it in most Walmarts in the cleaning section. Apparently, it slowly dissolves and flows with the current.

I've never heard of it. I have heard of using Ivory soap. It floats. And I have used it, but never caught anything on it.

We used to put ivory soap on the trout line and would catch some channel cats not the best bait but will work in a pinch.

Catfish are funny critters - they will eat pretty much anything. I've caught them out here with their bellies full of cottonwood seeds. Go figure.
