The spring peepers was singing tonight first time this year in my area. That’s a sign that the musky bite is going to start.

Spring Peepers Singing? I’m really curious what that means. Hopefully you get some but I just have no idea what a peeper is. It’s not considered a good thing from what I been told but I’m figuring it’s something completely different.

Spring peepers are very tiny frogs they will be very vocal for awhile in the late winter and early spring when the ground and water starts to warm. They will only be vocal for a few weeks in the spring. It’s just a another sign that spring is near. But it’s also said that the peepers will look through glass ( ice ) 3 times but that’s folk lore.

No peepers here yet but the ducks and robins are getting quite vocal.

Wondering the same thing. Any chance we can get a picture of a peeper. Oh crap I didn’t just ask that.

I hear frogs by friends pond. I would guess they are the type you are talking about. Are you saying when winter is winding down and you hear frogs that resemble bunch of loud crickets ( not big bellowing bull frogs ) you know its time to try for the Muskies? Do you use bait that resembles the frogs? Sounds like them? Just curious and thank you for letting me know what they are.

If you can, Google ‘spring peeper’. You can see pictures, hear the call, and get more info. They’re little tiny things with a BIG voice.

Spring Peepers are itty bitty frogs that chirp a lot, especially at night. Callin' for mates, maybe.

Peepers are great bait for bass in Kansas ponds. Just catch them in the mud along the bank.

this type of frogs are very tiny they make a peeping sound sorta like a new chick. They start getting vocal when things start warming
