Decided to put my crappie lures into boxes.
This is about half of what I bought during the bass pro sale....

How often has a bass hit lures like that? I’ve only caught one crappie which I happen to be using flukes for bass.

Quite often, almost nothing will resist a little minnow like that just strolling along. I throw them on a spinning rod with a plain jig head, also beetle spin style. Works for crappie and white bass very well.

It’s funny you ask lol. I caught 6 bass, a black crappie and a green sunfish all on a jig tonight. Two of the bass were over three pounds. A lot of people say big baits catch big fish, but if you know where the fish are at, and you put a jig in their face, they’re gonna suck em up. I’ve seen people catch 8 pound bass, 40 pound catfish and 20 pound carp all on jigs.

Oh dude, I love using crappie jigs for bass. Strike king makes some awesome little grubs and curly tail tadpoles. I get them over at sportsman’s warehouse for like $2 a bag. They’re super cheap, and just about anything will take a stab at them.

Greatest lures ever. In my creeks and rivers these will land crappie, perch, blue cats, and bass all day long

How do you prefer to rig them?

Just a simple weighted hook on a spinner. In the top out the back, hook exposed

I have literally never caught a fish on a tube jig lol

try using one as a frog. They work REALLY well for that.

They do take practice, but they’re amazing fish-catchers!

Idk how to use these baits or to catch crappie. But damn do I want to learn because I want to catch a stringer and provide some meat for my family finally! Don’t have electronics though :( not sure if that’s required for crappie

I just put it on a jig and slowly reel it back. I caught some crappie randomly when i was checking out a new pond to go to. From that day forward, I been using a white curl tail and I been catching.

Hey just a heads up - depending on materials, those plastics could melt in there. Some manufacturers put a coating or use a material that won’t do that but I think acrylic and fishing plastics (a type of pvc) are some that wouldn’t be good.

I read the title as “crappy lures” and I looked closer at your lures and I was like “those aren’t so bad.”
