Any one have any love or hate for furled leaders? Are they worth it. I like the idea of them, but have read a bunch of people that hate using them.
If you have tried using them and you didn't like them, would you describe why you didn't like them?

I use them for dry fly presentation for small stream trout. Coated with otter butter floatant so the leader stays on top and doesn't get to heavy. They're tough as nails too, if you happen to get a tree or grass.

I hate them 95% of the time, they are too limp and have too much mass for my style of fishing, i prefer hand tapered mono leaders

I use them on all of my fly rods. Turn flies over very well and easy to change tippet size.

I like them because they don't get the memory like typical leaders. Plus they work good as a strike indicator for nymphing.

I've made my own furled with monofilament and they work great and way cheaper than a tapered leader
