Just had the pleasure I'm cooking my mother-in-law and all the family in town a fish dinner. On the menu is smoked salmon, Alaskan halibut, Vermilion snapper, and red snapper. My sides are bacon wrapped asparagus, beer batter onion rings, and coleslaw. For the non-fish eater grilled marinated chicken with tortillas onions lettuce and tomato. I love fish! And I took your suggestion and put Old Bay in my beer batter for my fish.

You Texans! First you're marrying your daughters, and now you're cooking your mothers-in-law. I don't know if your ruining or strengthening we fishermen's reputations. What do you think Plum?

Gotta love skinny asparagus (and I add green onions, cut whatever length the asparagus is, trimmed) wrapped in bacon ! My favorite with anything I grill, and my go-to when asked to "bring something for the grill".

Dang jonmaly, I’m only an hour or so away from you. Next time you have a big fish fry with all the fixings, let me know and I’ll be your new adopted daddy. 😂

Welcome aboard! You have to tell me the ingredients in that batter. Looks like one my daughter uses on Halibut.

I fried up some bass and cat fish for our friends here in Yuma, Az area today. My friend and I caught 3 nice bass and a large catfish at Martinez lake near Yuma Proving Grounds during the last week. Excellent tasting fish, could not tell the difference which piece of fish I was eating.

Steelhead you should add you location to your profile. I used to fish a little over in the Imperial Valley, some of the irrigation canals over there not too far from the Salmon Sea.
