Introduction
Newbie here. I am here to start learning (even at 48) new tips with fishing. I'm also hoping to meet new fishing friends since most of my friends are far away in distance or far away "in life styles". I ,settled down at an early age but some seem to never settle down...lol. I "used" to be a very active fisherman but due to my job and a vehicle accident, that is slower than a crawl. I have now retired at an early age and wanting to get back to fishing along with my other two hobbies of RC boats & trucks as well as riding/repairing ATVs. I have lived here in Rockingham county most of my life but have lost track as well as permits to fish private ponds. I know the Dan & Smith Rivers from HWY14 up to Eagle Falls like the back of my hand. I enjoy canoeing & kayaking as well. So....where are the good fishing holes now? Lol.
Welcome aboard the stage dg, enjoy the ride. Lots of good people with a lot of knowledge that they're willing to share. Please go into your profile and add you location so we'll all know where you're located and your can also tell us what you fish for. I have no idea where any of those places you mentioned in your post are at. You'll get more replies than you'll know what to do with if you'll do that.
Welcome dg to the fishing stage. E.pa

Welcome DG! Yeah it would help a lot if you updated your profile with where you live. What do you like to fish for?
Greetings DG I am also a retaliative new (relearning) how to fish. I retired from the US Navy Submarine force in 1991 as a disabled Veteran. There was a time I was on surface (targets) ships and have fished in the middle of the Atlantic and several other bodies of water. As a side note how was I to know there were divers in the water, we wanted a shark. Needless to say I lost my best rod n real to King Neptune. perhaps we can slow crawl to the shore some time. I am located in Bradenton FL 20 miles south of Tampa. I no longer care for fresh water fishing (sorry Guys). I'm from the Chesapeake bay area so salt water has always been in my blood. Any one else in the Tampa area?
Not Tampa, but Kissimmee.
Hi Chief, Good t0 have another Submariner on here. I was on the old guppies for a few years around 1962. There are none left except in musems.
Anyway lots of salty folk on here. With lots of help. Just ask and soon you will be qualified.
