Banks fishing life Loc: New Orleans

Hello everyone I’m planning to go to Florida, probably about next week. I am going to try to fish off several piers in Panama City. I am also going to try the bay there. I am going to try to catch decent size fish such as bluefish, mackerel, redfish trout and maybe flounder(or any other fish that bites).could you recommend any lures?

I don't think you can go wrong with white bucktails and assorted gulp they can be fished off the bottom for flatties and trout, will cast a great distance for quick retrieve on Spanish Mackerel and Blues. I'm not sure about the reds from the pier. I tend to like chartreuse gulp for flatfish. All of the fish you mentioned will attack bucktails. I might also put a teaser ahead of whatever lure I'm using since you will essentially be fishing near the surf line (I would think). How tall is the pier? Depending on height and your distance casting ability, both would play a role in the selection of swim baits, plugs, etc. It's alway good to have a popper of two because not much is more exciting than watching a school of fish chasing down a popper, missing a few times and smacking your plugs around; then getting a solid hook-up. Tight lines.
