Looking for recommendations on a 6wt to add to my arsenal

I have been fly fishing for probably 5 years now and I am looking to add a 3rd rod to my arsenal. I have a fiberglass 4wt (7'6") and an 8wt (9') so I figured a 6wt would be a good addition. Living in Wisconsin, I mainly target trout and bass in streams and rivers. My 4wt is great for fishing dries and lighter nymphing rigs on smaller streams but it does not handle streamers well at all. I would like to start fishing streamers more for trout so that is why I am looking to get a 6wt.

So with all that being said, I am looking for some recommendations for a 6wt rod to primarily use for streamers. I'll also likely use it for mousing and maybe heavier nymph rigs. Price isn't really an issue. I am fine with spending a good chunk of money on quality rod.

Thanks in advance!

Hurry over to ORVIS online or your nearest store and pick up a recon. they’re on sale bc they’re recreating the whole series. I have a 8’6 5wt that’s great for streamers. it’s a very fast rod that acts like a 6 weight and can handle mouse flies fairly well. it’s my go to wading rod for streamers

Damn. They are sold out already. My 4wt is an Orvis Superfine Glass and I love it.

I am a big fan of Scott rods. Have a 9'6 5 weight and a 9' 6 weight New Zealand special. They have a fast action and r powerful. Using the scientific angler mpx lines now for a few years. Love them too. Give them a clean after every trip and they r as good as new.

Will check out Scott rods. Out of curiosity, how do you clean your line?

I have a 9’3” 5wt Mystic , and it’s great. It’s my all purpose, nymphing in the rivers for bows, browns and cutties, dry fly on still water, and casting off the beach for sea-run cutties and pinks and coho salmon. In the winter I slap on a 10ft medium-heavy sink tip and drift egg patterns for steelhead and big bows and browns. Hope this helps. (Also my buddy has a 10ft 5wt sage and it’s wicked, sage makes great rods for a great price and warranty)

I have heard good things about Mystic rods. I was just on their website earlier looking at the Reaper X.
