What is the twisty shaft made out of?

Different hard wood saplings where a honey sickle vine grows around it. It’s ashamed sewmac is too soft I’ve seen some of the best twist in them. Iron wood makes the best.

What kind of tree is ironwood. I remember way back a friend made a staff of ironwood but I could never figure out what kind of tree.

Saw the 3 lures at the top have aluminum duct tape on the sides I dressed the tape with a mill file and then stuck it on the lure and finish over top of it. I make some others about the same size as a 675 AC shiner that works good on musky.
