Fishing Gulf off shore from St. Petersburg, Fl
Anybody have any fishing experience in this area. Have been told very good fishing if you go out 60-80 miles, but what about in closer?
Is it sand flat bottom? What can you provide for info.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
I'm new to the area but there is a lot of good fishing in close to land. I've fished most of the local spots with minimal luck. Then I got a small boat so I can get to some of the spots you can't reach by land and things are improving but, I'm still learning.
John's pass is good and skyway pier. Stop in at a bait store and ask, they can lead you in the right direction.
I live on St. Pete Beach. Good fishing from shore. We have plenty of fishing piers, the shipping channel. Depends what you are fishing for. You don't have go that far out for Grouper this time of year.
