Thought I was ready when been broken off a few times, went to #2 circle 8” S. Steel leader, 15 #Stren mono leader, barrel swivel, 30# Braid main line. It picked up my shrimp and went East, that’s when he felt he was hooked, he cut the water with the line and in 8 seconds and was on the west side of the channel and not happy. I was loving it, till I got him with in 6’ of the boat, came up from the bottom till I saw a 40+ “ Silver Shadow and he thought it was time to Leave!!!! With one head shake that S. O. B. Was Gone. That’s all I have to say about that !!!! PS 40# leader next time and then let’s see laughs last.

Couldn’t ID it, it was a Silver Shadow then gone that fast!!! First thought it was a shark and with stainless steel leader he could of chewed down all he wanted, the 15# leader gave out when his bucket head twisted out of control. I know where he roams. I’ll be Back!!!

I fish down the lagoon a few miles. Sounds like a shark. Useally Snook or Tarpon jump. Sounds like a great fight. Thanks for sharing.
