Yamaha is boat or Engine? Silicone if they leak. Can weld them too if you want.

They make some kind of a epoxy mix you can roll it on. Says it will seal it for good. Might try it if it ever leaks. Congrats on your new boat!

The paint on bed liner stuff they have now will seal it for good. It comes in different colors so your not stuck with black. It will also dampen the sound if someone drops something on the floor it won't sound like a drum.

G3 is one of the best made aluminum boats these days! Congratulations on your decision. You won’t have any problems with rivets leaking. If you do have any issues there customer service is fantastic. Your choice of motors is top notch too! Concentrate on fishing techniques and enjoy!

Yamaha owns G3. In OPs case both boat and motor come from Yamaha.

Hello thanks for all the comments I will be fish in Sac. River from red bluff to Lovey's landing stripers baby and salmon later . I just got a spare prop. With four blade's I may put it on before I go to river to see if it will plane out quicker? Do you guys know if it will get up quicker with this prop.

It may, the motor will be turning 1 more blade, this in turn normally will bring your boat out of the water just a little quicker and hold it on plane just a little longer. this is all determined by the torc of your motor and the pitch of your prop. If your motor has the power to turn the prop at the same RPM's as your 3 blade prop then your boat should get up or hole shot, quicker, but This is doubtful. normally the addition of an extra blade will slow your RPM's which will in turn slow your speed. The speed of your boat is determined by the pitch of your prop and the power of your motor to turn that prop. If you have a say, 25 pitch prop and your top RPM is say 5500 then your boat will move forward 25" per 1 turn of your prop. With the 4 blade prop it too may still be a 25 pitch but the extra blade slows your RPM's to 5000 then your boat will still move forward 25" per turn of the prop but you prop isn't rotating as fast so your top end speed and hole shot will be effected. Hope this didn't totally confuse you.

Hi all,
I have a 10 merc and the 2 blade is speed and the 3 blade is power . So the more blades you add will give some more power but less speed .
As far as rivets go, if they leak ,they can be bucked and peened to tighten them up.
Paint bed liner on the bottom will create some drag, due to the ruffness ,better off with a smooth bottom. And bedliner in the inside to muffle sound. ruff on bear feet tho..
Just sayin what works for me on the mighty Susquehanna , in Pa.
Be well all and catch many. Mr. Bill
