The fish were found after about 3 hours fishing shallow today. They weren't there. Haven't been all week. It's been cold here. Average temperature 45 degrees. After about 3 hours we started fishing deep. Casting out as far as we could. The fish were there. In about 6 ft water off of a weed bed. They were hitting my electric chicken jig before it hit the bottom. My wife caught her personal best. 4 lb 14 oz. It was a lot of fun watching her! All of the other fish four of them we're only up to 3 lb. I lost like five of them. I think it was because I was using a weedless jig head. Here's some pics.

Yeah thats great for just 5 months into it, I've been fishing on and off since I was about 5 years old and my PB comes in slightly under yours at 5.15lbs.

Yeah I got sober. In my life has turned around! I really am living the good life. Sometimes a lot better than that like when it comes to fishing.

I have not fish specifically for bass but I caught a nine pounder by accident fishing for cats with night crawlers does that count. Great catch Jon and mrs.

Hey a catch is a catch...we may have to deduct a few points for you not targeting it but it still counts in my book....now if you had foul hooked it then I'd have to say no deal.

Congrats on your fish and more importantly on your life change. God is good, especially once you get to know Him. PTL
