Just like sports gets paid for doing a half &!* job. Imagine if we all did our jobs 3 out of 10 times correctly.
I’d be out of business in a week.
And we laughed at Jocks because they needed help with the homework. Who's laughing now? Oh that's right the weather person.
It's whether or not the weatherman is right. Wish I could have gotten a job where you could be wrong 50% and still keep your job. But when the Jet Stream flips, all bets are off.

50% you must have a better weather person.
Yeah . The best ones I've seen hit 50% on a good day.
When I was living outside of San Antonio, I would keep a coat in the car in the fall.
When the jet Stream would flip it would drop 40-50 Degrees in just a couple hours. They call them , "Blue Northerns".
A friend I had down there looked at me one time and said, "You know, I wondered about your having a coat in the car, until I remembered my Dad being asked by a guy when he left the house with a coat.
"What's the matter? You scared of a little cold?"
His answer was, "No, and I'm not going to be!"
Especially if you're a surgeon.
Or on the explosive ordinance disposal team.
Hey fly guy......"start of spring breaks at South Padre in 1986".... I beg to differ. My first was in '71 with my parents and little sis...uugh... good for Kansans to escape to the beach, but definitely RESTRICTED amount of fun...being with the Reverend and his wife, both tee-totalers to the end.
But '72-'75 ...WITHOUT parents and sis.... replaced by my fraternity brothers and all those sorority girls from SMU and UT....way more fun. Head over to Matamoros for some cheap tequila and down to the dock to meet a boat captain my Aunt (who lived in Brownsville) knew, that sold us laundry baskets of shrimp, right off the boat, for very little $$. A stop at a roadside veggie/fruit stand and we were definitely THE party house amidst all those top/bottom rentals on the beach. By my senior year, the boat captain had passed, but his son recognized me..."Aah, looks like the wild Kansas boys are back ! You wanting shrimp today ?" Good times,.....I hear the Kappa Sigs still represent. Enjoy your "snowbird" life down there, I miss it !
