I grew up in the midwest (Michigan) and live in NH now. I have that pike and walleye fishing isnt nearly as much of a thing out here. There are a lot of lakes and rivers that have chain pickerel, which are similar to pike in habitat and habit, but pike aren't nearly as prevalent out here.

I'd suggest getting the Fish Brain app. You can see what fish people caught in basically any body of water. I dont live in maine right now, but I used to. I know that there are pike in Pushaw lake up by bangor, but that's all I'm currently aware of. Use the app though to check what's in what. Also be aware that in the winter in Maine rivers and streams are closed to fishing, and only half of maine lakes and ponds are open. Its basically the bottom half of the state that you can fish the lakes and ponds. Tight lines!

Yeah I'm not much interested in winter fishing, not a fan of the winter tbh.

Belgrade Lakes, Maine
The Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine is one of Maine's top fishing destinations. The Belgrades are a chain of 7 lakes. Four of these lakes—Great Pond, Messalonskee Lake, Long Pond and North Pond—contain trophy pike upwards of 20 pounds.J
3 New England Pike Hotspots.
Most anglers—even locals—are surprised to learn that there are northern pike within a two-hour drive of central New England. They are even more surprised to learn that there are several trophy pike fisheries where an angler can target fish in the 40-inch range. Here are 3 New England pike hotspots that you might want to add to your trophy-pike hitlist:

Okay, so are you in N.H. or
Maine ? Being a former
GraniteStater, I know a little bit,
although I've never specifically fished for them ! Since I've
already looked it up, this'll spare you the search !
North Country/Northern Pike:
Moore Reservoir/Littleton
Dodge Pond/Flag Pond/Jericho
Pond/Ogontz Lake/Perch Pond/
Partridge Lake
Southeast/Monadnock Region:
Connecticut River/Spofford
Lake/Skatutakee Lake/Wilson Pond
Lakes/Central Region:
Conn. River/ Upper and Lower
Baker Ponds
Southeast Region:
Franklin Pierce Lake
Massabesic Lake (few and far between/small-sized)
North Country/Walleye
Connecticut River
Southwest/Monadnock Region
Connecticut River
Lakes/Central Region
Connecticut River
Southeast Region
Merrimack River (Bedford to
Merrimack area)
Contoocook River
Since neither species has a
strong presence in N.H., this
is pretty much all there is !

I've gotta ask; if you're not
a fan of winter, what would
ever possess you to move to
N.H. ? After 50+ years, I finally hauled my butt OUT of there
for good and into a WARM
climate for my so-called
'golden years' ! Plenty of good fishing out here (including pike
and walleye), and if I'm ever
desperate enough to want to
see snow again, it's just a
couple of hours' drive north !
Sorry, but I just don't understand why someone who's not fond of winter would want to move to an area of such inclement weather !
