It's a shame they felt that they had to keep such such a big old fish. I'm all for keepin fish that you are goin to eat but big ones that old I certainly would want to release.

No it's dead. If I understand right they taking they do most of the research on the jaw bone and the teeth. And it is only one fish out of thousands that are out there. It is for the good of the whole population. Don't think that fish would live forever anyway.
