I'm tying a jig now that I'm really liking, The first pic shows the screw lock i've tied into the skirt, hope it can be seen, while the second pic shows the same jig with a chunk rigged Texas style. This different rigging really seems to make this jig more weedless than any I've ever tied. Tied one up a week or so ago and took it out in the front yard and tossed it into the Hawthorne bushes and it came through the bushes just fine, no hangups. Since then while fishing I've tossed it into any fallen tree, rock pile or junk I can find and still casting the same jig, basically no hang ups. It's got stuck in rocks a couple times but a few jiggles of the rod tip and it comes free. Just wondering how you guys like it and any suggestions on how to improve it. Normally I start with a hook and end with a jig so any changes are simple.
Looks great, weedless but has it caught fish! That's the ultimate point!

Yes it has caught a couple fish so far. This will be a better jog for spring and summer when the fish will hit a bigger bait but the first day I tied one I took it out on the lake tossed it into a blowdown and got two largemouth just working it slowly through the limbs.
The question that I have is did you eliminated the weed guard? I can't tell by looking at the pictures. I don't see any reason why it won't work, just have to field test it in different situations..

Yes this did eliminate the weed guard, so far the only thing I haven't tossed it into is heavy weeds. The spars weeds it comes right through so it should make a good swim jig too, I'll be trying that out soon.
And you haven't got a patent on this rig? I would think it would be a great seller without the weed guard. Good luck and please keep us posted.
