Just a short introduction. I’m retired and live in the Seattle, Washington area. Mostly interested in freshwater fishing although I’d like to try my hand at surf fishing for perch sometime. Anyway, howdy and happy new year everyone!

Weather here is typical Pacific Northwest. Rain and more rain. Rivers are becoming too thick to drink and too thin to plow. Got a question about outdoor boat storage. I’ve had two boat mechanics tell me different- with a four stroke do you run the motor dry or just add gas saver and call it good?

Hey Monday, you may get better response if you go to the main and post your question. Only ones hitting this thread are those that have been on it already it seems. Here in NC I have done both but being where you are might want to get some local intel.

How to Winterize an Outboard Motor 4 Stroke...

In this video we show you the basics of how to winterize your outboard motor. This motor we are working on is a 60hp Mercury 4 stroke outboard motor. Keep in mind every outboard can be a bit different so you will need to check your owner's manual for your outboard specs. We hope this helps you save some money and or gives you the courage to tackle this project on your own. Good luck and Fish On!

Hello fellas. Never had the chance to fish the southeastern part of the country, but I enjoy watching Bill Dance show every chance I get. My experience is mostly smallmouth on rivers and fly fishing local streams. We’ve got largemouth but nothing compared to southern bass fishing.
Walleye has become a big deal on the Columbia River, but sadly I wouldnt take any home because of the toxic levels in the fish tho come out of that water.
