I know that it may sound trivial... after all fishing is all about skills, right? But do you guys have any good luck charms that will (or at least you believe so) help you in catching a nice fish? I never believed in those things, but lately after my father passed I have started wearing the watch he has left me. I'm wearing it on every occasion, both to work and during all daily activities, and I have noticed that I have been granted with some really great catches recently. I have made it my Lucky Charm since then. I know that it probably makes no difference, but after just a couple of fishing session with my beloved father's watch I cannot imagine really going on a fishing adventure without one.

I know this sounds stupid, but wanted to hear if you guys have such an item as well and I know that it doesn't impact the aspect of the fish you gonna catch, but it's nice to at least believe so and in my case, as it's a memoir of my father, it has a special meaning that I wanna believe in, even if it makes no difference at all.

Interesting thread, especially when it comes to fishing I believe it may have some appliance. I mean, I don't believe in such things either and I have no lucky charms whatsoever, but now that I am thinking of it -- it may actually be nice to have one. I think I'm gonna grab something special as well and start taking it for all my next trips, preferably something, that has already brought me a fair amount of luck in the past. I have to think about it.

I know, that it may sound stupid, but as you all probably know very well - women are indeed very superstitious and so I am. I don't want to sound like an idiot though, but I will admit, that I believe in lucky charms and all this kind of stuff. I have one item, that I'm taking with me everywhere since I'm a child. It was a gift for my 11 birthday from my mom. I said that I will take it everywhere I go and I thanked my mom for giving me that. It's nothing special though as it's just a medallion with my name engraved on it. It's not even expensive or anything.

It's worth probably like $50, but I have been indeed taking it everywhere I go with me and I can't say for sure, that it has actually brought me any luck so far, but I have gotten past many hard moments, so I believe it does help a bit and I don't plan on giving up on it.

That's a great story Audrey! You should definitely have your Lucky Charm by your side always. Even if it doesn't really work, it's a great add and I think the faith we put into this itself is a very strong feeling, and I just love having that. Especially as in both mine and your case it has been a gift from our parents. All the best in both personal life and on all kind of fishing adventures.

I don't have any and I don't believe it works. It would surely be nice to have one though, but I can't remind myself of any item in particular that could have brought me any luck and I don't want to pick just any random item to be my Lucky Charm, so I will probably never have one.. or will see, you never actually.

I have something like that. A picture of me and my family in Mexico (from where I am from). I always have it in my wallet and I don't actually believe it brings me any luck and I never intended for it actually be my Lucky Charm, but I don't plan on ever throwing out this picture as it brings all kind of warm memories. So we can say, that this is indeed my Lucky Charm in some way, but I definitely don't treat it this way.

I don't have such item as well and I don't need anything like that, really. But I'm glad you guys have something that you believe in and that brings you strength both on your fishing adventures and during everyday struggle.

This is definitely a great thing to have. I used to have something like that, although it's nothing that I can carry with me everyday as it was a mug. A mug that I got from my grandfather. It's kind of a random story as he have just given me one of his favorites mugs, that he has been drinking morning coffee in every single morning. I did so too when I was at the University and had to work really hard, so I used to drink my morning coffee in it and thought that it will help me pass my exams. But when I was changing places a couple years ago, I have lost it. No idea how. I've been looking everywhere and it has just disappeared. Really sad, because even though I haven't used it as my Lucky Charm or anything special for a while, it still held a great value to me.

I have inherited my fathers H. Gerstner machinist box,He would have bought it in the early 1930's, when I first opened it up the memories came flowing back,my earliest memories of fishing were with him and my sisters. I take a pair of his saftey glasses with me when I go fishing,as kids do we would allways get our lines tied up or knots in them,he would allways take the time to undo our mess while wesring these glasses, now I need them to help me undo my own mess now. I like to think that there is a part of him there with me when I am fishing,He would say catch the bigger ones they are easier to clean. Ahhh the memories😎😁

WATCH your rod tip. another good luck thing...….DO NOT show other people the good fishing holes. If you do.... you will be wearing all sorts of charms but if everyone else fishes it out no amount of charms with charm the fish into biting....they are gone.

It is always good to believe in something that makes you focus on good. Lucky charms work if you believe. I for one always ask the fish gods for fish and they ussally do.
