Hello from southwest New Mexico
Been fishing off and on for many years here in New Mexico.
Never bothered to check with anyone about the 'life span' of 'Power Bait'.
What can anybody offer../suggest ?
Just bought 4 bottles of different power bait and keeping in a clear plastic sandwich bait.
Will it 'dry out' ?How do I get the 'best liife' out of it ?I'm lucky if I'm able to go fishing once a month.
Never had a problem with Power Bait. I used to fish with the Berkley crew in the 1990's and still have their PB in good condition. Wow...about 25 years ago. That was a very good company in those days and I cherish those friendships to this day. Hope this helps, my friend...pete
If it drys up add a little at a time water and mix. It will ussally come back to place on hooks. Also add, a little, some kind of scent to it.

Powerbait begins losing scent slowly after the bottle is opened.
Smell it, add scent if the odor is weak.
If you put the bait in a bag, be sure to squeeze the air out of it, it is the
air that weakens the scent.
Good comments on Powerbait. Even at over 25 years, my Powerbait has retained its effectiveness because it was properly sealed just like food sealed in a vacuumed Food Savor pouch. Optional tip...add scent prior to the vacuum sealing process to "infuse" the scent into the Powerbait. Pete
thank you all for the advice...I never thought of 'adding scent''..I also try to make sure there is 'no air' inside the bag....
In the 90's, I spent a little time in the Berkley factory while it was still located in Iowa. There was a joke at that time that the packaging cost more that the actual Power Bait inside that package. They were a great crew and I was blessed to be fishing pals with them. Pete
