I just recently got one for Christmas and I fish for bass redfish speckledtrout. I have the medium one. Does anyone think it is too stiff for that type of fishing?

Should be ok. I use a 7ft. medium - heavy ugly stick for those fish. Works just fine

It just seems so hard to cast lutes because it’s so stiff

I’ve used 5’6 skylines to 7’ heavy action ugly sticks. At the end of the day I say use what you are comfortable with. Gonna find that lighter tackle adds an extra day fishing.
