Hi my names Bill and I recently retired and finally have some time to go fishing! My problem is I really don't know what I'm doing! I live in southeast Ma. very close to Narragansett bay. Newport is only a half hour away and the canal on Cape Cod maybe and hour and quarter away. Of course I would love to fish for Strippers and blues, but fluke, tataug , scup would also be fun. I have some gear that is old but usable so I would be able to get started and upgrade as I go. If you any ideas where to fish and what to use and even when to fish for any of these fish I would be very grateful! I have the desire but very little skill or knowledge!

go to local sport fishing supply and ask around. Call a local fishing guide. It is always worth the money to go at least once or more with them locally to get an idea of HOW, WHERE, and WHEN and for WHAT.
