Hi all,
My name is Ken from California. I'm recently taken early retired due to health problems and wanted to get a new hobby. So I went shopping and got a saltwater 12' spinning rod combo and loaded it with 60 lb braid hoping to catch something like rock cod, ling cod, halibut, etc. in San Francisco / East Bay area.
I've done alot of fresh water fishing through the years but this will be the first time for anything saltwater.
So I have no clue where to go. My first outing will be somewhere around Half Moon Bay or near Alameda Rock Wall / Berkeley Marina.
Any one with any suggestions, tricks, tips or locations they have had good luck at would be most appreciated. Happy New Year !
