Woohoo, my catfishing guru is going to have fun! Tag me in a picture with one of the big ones! Waiting with 'baited' breath. Hey Plumbob, it's one of those words you like! Bated breath/ baited breath. Bated means anticipatory; we all know what the other one means.....
And hell naw did I eat any bait, so I don't want to hear it from you guys -does Mom glare-
I’m probably counting my chickens before they hatch , like I’ve done so many times before.

Back from the creek mouth no fish to much water and it’s still raising
Catfish can get their revenge. Years ago a tourist at Daytona beach stepped on a catfish and came out with a three pound sail cat attached to his foot. The spike came up through the top of his foot. The ambulance crew knew better than to pull the thing out and couldn't get at the fin to cut it loose from the fish...So they taped the still living catfish to the foot and set off to the hospital for repairs.
When they got him to the hospital, it became show and tell time. Everyone had to see this and the catfish would flop a bit now and then, just to make the show better. After X-rays and several photos, they managed to get the man and fish separated.
Watch em, they fight back.
I’ve been horned by catfish more than I care to remember ,never stuck to one , But stuck by them. It’s the little guys that gets you.
I have only one thing to say about catfish, be careful.
