I’ve got a bunch of unpainted blanks and I’m just curious if they’d produce any fish.

Yes, an airbrush is in the works 😁

Marlin baits on YouTube. He is a lure maker, has great videos. In one episode he caught bass on just a plain block of wood with hooks attached

Actually I did watch that one like a month ago, didn’t even cross my mind haha. That’s a great point.

The ones I have are clear plastic though, I wonder if they’d be visible enough.

I’ve gotten big Dorado on bare hooks (gold plated) after chumming them up and getting a couple on the line to make a frenzy - at that point you coulda caught them on anything

Cedar plugs are great tuna bait when trolling. They are literally, a sanded down chunk of cedar with a hook at the end.

Saw that video!.....very much impressed for a piece of rectangular wood (about 3/4 inch square by 3 1/2" long)....sealed natural wood w/ 2 trebel hooks!.....this would put to shame the $$$ lures in the market!....just to prove that a bass will strike (at anything when given the chance)......but not a crappie!

You can catch fish with a dried up dog turd if presented properly. The pretty paint jobs catch fishermen and their money !

I've bought several red fines for stripe fishing over the years. But them in chrome color and scrape all the chrome off and it leaves the lure a bone color. Awesome color for stripe

Saw a guy catch a bass on an old wine cork. So I'm sure it's possible.
