Mono, Fluorocarbon and Fluorocarbon Hybrid

I need your opinion and recommendations for either Mono, Fluorocarbon and Fluorocarbon Hybrid. I need to purchase some 40lb line of one of the three types. Can you give me your input on these three types. Some have said they have had problems with Fluorocarbon breaking easy and some have said some of the Hybrids are quite good. Can you also tell me the brands and within the brands which one of their different offering you like and why.
I am making several rods and supplying reels for Albacore fishing. I am buying counter reels that won't be huge so to get the total length of line on the reels I am going to put "Super Brain" on for backing then maybe with a FG knot splice on the above line which will be directly tied to the inline sinker and then a leader to the hook.
Thank you for your help!

Mornin' Kerry, Sorry, but it sounds like you know more about this than I do already. Maybe you can help me out. I detect that you may be a rod crafter and I believe I have seen some other posts that may indicate that also. What I would like to do is to create a spreadsheet that will contain the user name, the location of the individual, and his/her expertise. In some cases, he/she will be a rookie. In some cases, they will be a panfisher, some cases a bass fisher, some a trout fisher and many, more than one expertise. You, for example, I would put down Kerry Hansen, you will have to go back to your profile page and put down your location so that it shows up on your post, and tell me if you are a rod crafter and maybe if you have other talents. If others on this forum would like to shoot me a post and tell me their location and what they feel is their expertise, it would be greatly appreciated. I would then compile this information and help guide other people to a person that may be able to help them out. This is going to be a big undertaking and it will take me some time to put this together but I think it will be very helpful to many who need help. That, my friend, is what this Forum is all about. GOOD MORNIN' EVERYONE! HAVE A NICE DAY.

I bought some 10 lb spiderwire fluorocarbon. I was going to put it on my ice reals. But I tried some for leader first on two of my poles. And they both broke off with the first bite.
I won't buy it any more.

Welcome to the Forum, randy. Thank you for putting your location down. I have never thought much of Spiderwire.

Mono with fluoro carbon leader best bet ! There’s no reason to load a reel with fluorocarbon , it’s often memory prone when left on reel , however it’s tough to beat when used as a leader / top shot !
Also braid is a good choice then install leader with reverse Albright or FG ! The braid ups capacity and no memory . I’ve used this set up for over 30 seasons no issues !

Capt Lou, Yes sounds good to me. I have been thinking of using a backing of 50lb super braid with an equivalent mono Dia of 12lb then using a hybrid of the Fluro/nylon which is supposed to take the strengths of both. Was wondering what brands all of you had experience with and would buy again or not use again because of what ever problems you had which I would like to hear? Thanks for your help!

Well for one I wouldn't use no spiderwire I go to a braided line preferably preferably powerpro probably one of the best lines on the market I would say that you couldn't go wrong with that

Capt. Lou, May I use you as a reference? You very definitely seem to know what you are talking about. I will also need to know your location. Thanks, buddy.
