I have seriously been considering getting a knot tool to help overcome the nerve damage in my fingers, any brands or types that are worth the cost? Any to steer clear of? I use braided line exclusively on my reels and any advice would be appreciated! Thanks guys! 🎣

Well good morning Jess, glad to see you are back with us. I goggled what you are after and couldn't recommend anything because of to many options. I believe you had asked about this before and will assume nothing paned out. So good luck this time maybe someone has an answer

I'm looking for something too. I have a really tough time working with small fluorocarbon leaders. Between my eyes and my old fingers. My answer so far has been to use nothing smaller than 10 pound. Be sure to let us know if you find a solution.

Light lines with small hooks are consistent with most knot products . However fly guys usually have a smaller version since they use finer leaders etc , I would look into a fly shop catalog .

I have a similar problem with numbness in my right hand from a spinal fusion. I use the Hook EZE and have had good luck with it. It's mostly for an improved clinch, though it does work for tying SG nots pretty well too. It just works as a hooking point to you belt to keep tension on the braid for that. It works great for me.

Check out cabellas. Helps tie clinch knots, nail knots, Rapala knots and more. Tooled from solid brass. Instructions included. Lifetime warranty. with the nerve damage from sticking fingers for so many years. This works for me. Plus I still can't teach my wife of 51 year to tie a simple fishing knot. 73 happy fishing...

Yes indeed. My wife, who can still thread a sewing machine at 71 cannot tie a uni knot. More like she won't.

I went to cabella's, I didn't see anything tooled from solid brass, only stainless.

Cool. I'm gonna give it a try. I don't normally use big hooks like that, nothing bigger than size 8 and I'm trying to tie that to 2# leader. Hard for me to see.

My friend gave me a tool for tying knots while I'm fly fishing because I have arthritis and the small leaders really suck. Helps me quite a bit.
It's only a few bucks too. Sorry can't
remember the name but I will find out and post.
