So I just ordered myself a new Shimano Metanium MGX and would love some suggestions for a new casting rod, either just an all around good rod or a flipping rod.

Check out sixgill. They only sell through their website, but their rods are on par with the Loomis rods at a far cheaper price. I have several and like them much better than my St Croix and Lew's rods.

For flipping a 8 foot Heavy/Fast G-Loomis or NorthFork rod and for pinpoint casting of a spinnerbait or any other I use a 6 foot M/H fast action rod.
