Just a little warning when cleaning a catfish.
These fish have a small oil sack inside their gut sack.
Please Do Not Break this Sack!
Your Tasty Catfish Won’t Be so Tasty Anymore!
Maybe someone can explain this in more detail.
The sack looks like a capsule full of yellowish oil.
I don’t know what it’s for but a summer ago I disregarded it.
Then I Regretted It!
Never noticed but I fillet them and never get into their guts.
Thanks.
I’ll be stayin away from the gut sack
Any one what this oil pill is for?

Is it bitter? Could it be gall?

Just wanted to Warn everyone!
The previous message about the Renal Failure was good to know as well!!
I had my Gall Bladder remove 2 years ago and I can’t eat too much cheese or sour cream or greasy food anymore. Red Meat processes real slow in
Me.
I don’t digest it normally, seems like the heavy fatty food just sits in my stomach a lot longer!
Age is a factor too!
Lol!
It's the gall blatter spelling is wrong I'm sure. Same thing in deer and hogs. We always punch the guy that pops the "bubble"
DONT POP THE BUBBLE!!!
