Oil sack inside of Catfish

Just a little warning when cleaning a catfish.
These fish have a small oil sack inside their gut sack.
Please Do Not Break this Sack!
Your Tasty Catfish Won’t Be so Tasty Anymore!
Maybe someone can explain this in more detail.
The sack looks like a capsule full of yellowish oil.
I don’t know what it’s for but a summer ago I disregarded it.
Then I Regretted It!

Is it bitter? Could it be gall?

I broke that little bubble and it made the beautiful cat taste Rancid!!
I don’t think
It was the good omega oil!
Just wanted to Warn everyone!
The previous message about the Renal Failure was good to know as well!!
I had my Gall Bladder remove 2 years ago and I can’t eat too much cheese or sour cream or greasy food anymore. Red Meat processes real slow in
Me.
I don’t digest it normally, seems like the heavy fatty food just sits in my stomach a lot longer!
Age is a factor too!
Lol!
