It's the only baitcaster I've ever been able to use out of the box consistently without backlashing.

INCREDIBLE baitcaster! Absolutely love mine. Can cast 1/8oz mepps just as easily as a 1oz 6th Sense crank.

Also loved my Bass-X (medium, fast action) until I broke it on a snagged paddle/spoonbill fish this past spring. Since upgrade to the Mojo Bass lineup.

What braid is that? Kinda looks like Seagaur Smackdown?

This is my first St. Croix rod and I'm loving it so far. I usually use Favorite or G.loomis. The braid is 50 pound power pro. I bought this setup specifically for throwing an A-Rig , but I was just testing it with the lipless to see how I liked it.

I run 5 rods in my Kayak with me. 3 of which are Saint Croix rods -- 7' 1" MH Fast Action Mojo bass (casting, jigging rod mainly, doubles as a muskie rod), 8' H Fast Action Mojo bass (casting, A-Rig and big swimbaits, doubles as a muskie rod) and a 6' 6" M Extra Fast Action Avid-X (spinning, Texas Rig and a decent jerk bait rod in the cold months). Have an additional Shimano cranking rod that will likely get replaced by a Saint Croix this year. My upgrade my ned-rig/light finesse rod (Lews) eventually, but probably not.

Saint Croix is my go to rod brand now. I firmly believe the Mojo Bass is dollar for dollar the best rod series out there. Plus the Mojo Bass has a 5 year warranty which I had to use this year after I broke the tip off in my truck. All it cost me was $25 and a couple of weeks for a brand new replacement. Then the Avid series and better have life time warranties.

And good on the line! I run power pro for my braid and Seagaur for my flouro. Hence why I asked about the line because it kind of looked like Seagaur Smackdown braid and was going to get your opinion on it. Was the best casting line I've ever used, but when it back lashed it was game over due to how thin it was. I've also never had so much trouble with knots from braid. Had to start tying the knots I use on flouro to keep them from slipping in order to set a hard hook. Took it off and went back to Power Pro.

Those reels are awesome. I own serval Curado Ks, STX, and more. The Tatula SV TW is flat out my favorite.

Ive been liking the tws system. Have the tatula 150 as a frogging reel. Feels really really nice and the casting distance us nice too. My first higher end reel and it was a good purchase!

I have an Avid Pearl that I bought for my wife several years ago. She never did catch the bug, so I use it all the time now for trout with a Shimano Stradic. It's purple and it's kinda girlie with that m - of - pearl rod seat. I don't care. It's a great set-up. Also got a couple of their trout series rods. Love em.
