I've been a life long user of penn and recently I got a clash 4000 that lasted about 22days. So far I am extremely impressed by daiwa and the fit and finish of these reels. Does any else have experience with them?

I have 2 daiwa rods and reels and I love them both. They’re so smooth and strong

Exactly what he said. Got my first to replace a snapped rod, bought my ultra a year later. Love both, 10/10 would buy again

Reels built on the BG chassis (BG, Saltist and Blast) are smooth and solid. Very tough reel, just wouldn't dunk them in the salt.

For smaller reels, the LT series are a step up in refinement and lightness; great fresh/inshore reels. I used a Fuego 2500 LT with 20# braid most of the year and it's been super reliable and extremely comfortable.
