Went fishing anyway

To most, my day ( today ) of fishing would have been a nightmare! 20-30mph winds, gusts up to 40, mixed direction, extreme low pressure, lake turning over, 46 degrees and raining, and, had to drive an hour each way from home to the lake! Was it worth it... Yep! Caught a couple bass on a jerkbait before the conditions got worse. Anyone out there enjoy fishing through Hell to get to Heaven!๐Ÿ„๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŽฃ

YEP. Been there and done that. It's wild fishing in the snow/rain etc. We have loaded the boat most of those days with some big fish.

Sorry BF no nightmare here under those conditions. 210lbs of wimppy I prefer 5- 10 mph, no gust, and 75 is a good day. More power to you my friend that cold will sneak up on those bones sooner or later.

Sounds like a normal day of striper fishing to me

I usually only get 2 days a month to go bass fishing... so, I just go no matter what! Unless the conditions are life threatening... Iโ€™ll be on the water. I get a ton of satisfaction catching fish in horrible conditions. It makes those 75 degree, light breeze, passing clouds kinda of days that much sweeter. ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŽฃ

BF,
5-6 yrs. ago a friend asked me to go with him on the Black Warrior River just above Demopolis Alabama. It was in January, 25 degrees, wind blowing with blowing snow showers. This isnโ€™t typical Alabama weather, even in January. My friend had been waiting for this exact weather setup & he meant he was going. I drive 1 1/2 hours from Tuscaloosa, meet him at the city landing in Demopolis. We launch his Triton , go about a mile north on the Tombigbee River & then up the Black Warrior to the Greene County Steam Plant (Alabama Power Company) discharge point. All of the stars & planets were lined up & I honestly believe we could have caught them with key ring with a hook on it. We caught one nearly every time we cast. Very few dinks , most were in the 3-5 lb. range. The ride to & from was awful but man did we have a blast. Never experienced that before or after. Donโ€™t let anybody tell you that you canโ€™t fish with gloves on.

Even though uncomfortable, I've had some of my best days in that kind of weather.
