Basically I am fairly new in Fishing, so I hope I do NOT get to bore U Guys Totally...We hope to fish the Lake on January 2019, not sure yet bcoz I only get invited on my pardners Tracker boat when he decides to go....So the question really is..... How do we get to catch Crappies (or etc.) during the Winter?...Its a broad Topic, but maybe lets start with DEPTH?....what kind of Baits?....Type?...Color?....etc?...TNX Guys!........Ok Guys....Thats me and my First Crappie last summer.
California police detective, Bob Crupi, caught a line record 17 lb largemouth while vertical jigging a 3/4 oz Crippled Herring metal jig. Look for deep underwater river beds on your fishfinder. Do not start jigging until you also locate fish on the edges of that river channel bed. 45 feet is a good dept to fish. Pete
