I have a kayak that was stolen and its last known location was in storage in Sherman Texas on Southridge Ln. The problem here is this is also illegal activity taking place at this residence here. So I don't want to wind up in jail over a 250 dollar kayak. Im not sure if I need to contact the local Blue and ask for assistance or what. The person with the kayak is a senior citizen and female, but im at my wits end with bums and lowlifes. Any input here to retrieving my never returned property?

That is a pretty tough question for us to answer, we do not understand the situation as well as you do. I know I wouldn't have any idea of how to answer that question, sorry. Any roommates or buddies around the can give you some advise or help you out?

Do you have proof it’s yours? Proof it’s where you say it is ?
If so you can ask the law to confirm that it’s yours and then ask for it back without any accusations. Just make it clear to the law that you don’t want to cause problems for an “old lady “.

I have the CHARGE ON MY CC STATEMENT. So i not only bought, but paid off the charge. As adults we should know right from wrong and I asked for it or the money. This is a civil matter and the police will do nothing as far as helping get the kayak back. Its the illegal activities at that residence the police would be interested in.That is why I steer clear. That would be better suited for the Sherman PD.

If there’s anything else going on there, tell your story to the law before more things happen. The kind of activity you’re alluding to is like an infection and can only get worse as time goes by.
I found a canoe on top of the hill behind my house, next to the house where so many tree stands ended up that had gone missing in previous months/years. I walked the police through the woods to all the stolen property. They were quite happy to set up a sting, which is exactly what they did. There were no more problems after that.

You have the charge on your statement but is there an identification on the charge that matches the yak? How can you prove it is yours?

There's a serial number on the receipt which matches the hull ID. That sounds like proof enough to me

Don't see what your problem is then. Or if the $$$$ are easy come easy go, move on.

The only person lower than a thief is a gossip. They steal and destroy dreams and reputations and no one shows a profit from that. That is the very bottom
