Looking at the fishing reports from grumpy bait and tackle near island beach state park.
He says the fall striper run has started in earnest. He says there’s a lot more fish further north.
Time to dig out the waders and korkers and catch some!

Yes I saw that, time to go. What's your favorite spot?

I'm in Delaware in Rehoboth Beach and have caught a few last week. Going out again this week, live eels are working the best!! Tight lines & cold beers!

My favorite spot is island beach state park near lavalette nj
I like the park cause they have bathroom facilities at the entrance to clean up after a day of fishing.
Plus there’s miles of unspoiled beach .
The first cutoff after the gate leads to a piece of beach that has worked for me in the past.
Good luck out there.

I haven't gone into the park but have done well just outside the entrance at 24th Street. Do they close down the rest rooms when cold weather arrives?

I use 2 rods, mostly baited - 1 with clam ona 2 hook rig, the other with bunker chunk on fish finder rig, both using circle hooks. I'll change up one of the rods by throwing artificials - most artificial success has been with paddle tails and SP Minnows. Always attach a teaser with lures - either wet fly or sand eel. These are all pretty standard striper methods.

I’ll probably just catch a cold but it’s always great just being out there.

They are still up in Raritan Bay en mass. Sounds like they are trickling further south. I like to troll a chartreuse rattling bomber from my kayak. From shore, can’t go wrong with white paddle tail shad on an oz. jig head.
