Trout season ended for me Oct. 15th. They do not want fishermen disturbing the redds. It opens 1/1/20, but I will be headed to South TX. by then to enjoy the warmth and the saltwater fishing. The weather has been nice enough to fish here but the season is closed and for a good reason.

Season here is year long. But winter has its own handicaps to add. I don't ice fish anymore and my bones hate the cold.

With that I can relate Smoke. I remember him too. I think the sisters told us not to watch his program because he was divorced. He and Ed Sullivan were on their blacklist.
