The Three Wise Men, also known as the Three Kings or the Magi, were Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar. In the Bible, they presented gifts to Jesus soon after his birth.
Now if it were 3 wise women that showed up it would have been different.
Jesus would have been cleaned up promptly, a casserole for all to eat, and 3 practical gifts
Yep for sure. I did a quick research on the “3” wise men and I think I know why we have a different idea. I don’t think the names or number of wise men are actually given in the KJV Bible. I’m guessing you use a Catholic Bible. That may be the difference ( not that it really matters).

Even most Protestants think there were 3 because of the 3 gifts, but our Bible never tells us how many wise men there were.
