Going to Oak Island Saturday. Anybody got any tips for catching drum or trout?

Shrimp. Popping cork. Circle hooks. Spoons. That should start it out.

1/8 to 3/8 jigheads and gulp swimmin mullet or jerk shads

White soft plastic paddle tail on a jig head. Also keep a darker color like mullet. Vudu shrimp, clear with red flake, chartreuse tail. Of course live bait will always win out but I prefer artificial stuff. And fly fishing.

Paddle tail and jig heads of assorted colors do good.

On the Salt Strong community page (NC) there are regular reports from several folks outlining lures and locations. It's a few miles too far to the south for me, but it obviously an outstanding area.
