Lake New Melones CA...near Jamestown?

Me n my fishing pardner R going to Lake New Melones CA Saturday....no boat just Bank fishing!.....our targets R Crappies n or Bass or Trout...can anybody help us possible productive BANK Locations?.....our FIRST time going there!...or it's a futile exercise w/ No Boat?...we know Saturdays R noisy, we usually fish weekdays but the wive's had something better to do this Saturday!..LOL!.....Help!....also need best access from 99 south?

From 99 take hwy 4 East to Angels Camp. Go about an hour then turn right ( south) on hwy 49. Go all the way through Angels Camp. Stop at Glory Hole Sports and they will tell you the best places for bank fishing and what to use. My favorite place was under the Stevenot bridges on 49 at the road to the visitors center. It doesn’t cost anything to fish under the bridge. $10 if you access the lake at Glory Hole. Good luck and tight lines. 🎣 We were just down there visiting the kids last week and the water level was pretty high for this time of year. And no I didn’t get to fish while I was there. No California license and no gear. It was really hard to drive across the bridge and not stop and wet a line. 🙁. 🎣🐟

I usually fish down in the marina by where the houseboats are moored. I have caught trout and bass there.
