We all know there is a boat load of useless fishing tackle and gadgets on the market that catch more fisherman than fish. And then when it's time to go to your grave - there are "Gloryboats". What will they think of next. According to their website you can have your boat registration number added - no extra charge.

I prefer the Viking way to go out. A few well placed arrows and gasoline. But what I see above is still pretty cool.

What a great casket,I think I'll get me one similar to that before I leave great company on this fishing hole.

They are trying to keep their business alive.

I can think of worse.

I think that is a great idea, I'm going to be cremated so if I get a little yak, they can just push it out to sea in the Gulf. No mess, no fuss.

Have considered having a Viking funeral for some time; unfortunately, due to legal
snafus regarding environmental concerns, it is illegal to do so in this country ! It may be possible, though, to get incinerated first
and give your ashes a send-off ! Check federal and local statutes first so that friends and/or family don't get into hot water for doing so ! Looking
into it myself, but not sure where it might happen so may have to reseach different state
regulations !

Do you think you will really care who gets in trouble if your on that ship being set afire? What are they going to do call in a fire boat. Sort of like spreading one's ashes after cremation. As a previous thread said: KISS

Keep It Simple and in this case Silent

Wouldn't want anyone else getting into trouble trying to help me fulfill my last request ! Why should they pay for my violation ? From what I understand, there are some pretty stiff fines/penalties involved !

You are to kind Big A. As a kind gesture I will leave a few bucks in my estate to cover expenses. Right under the KISS clause.

Wonder if it's legal to put a vase, box, or urn of ashes into a bigger, radio-controlled model boat and send it out that way ? Could be a legal loop-hole !

Still cheaper than a casket also.

Probably depending on the waves could get shipwrecked.

Just pick one of those calm, quiet days when the water's smooth as glass ! I thought you were a former Scout, but I may be mistaken; just remember the Scout motto -
BE PREPARED !
