Mono line
Ahh, yes. The bane of my existence, thanks you for clarifying that up for me. I will use florocarbon line but mono does not work with me. I have very little feeling left in the tips of my fingers due to nerve damage and I can't tie a mono knot to stave my life.
Sorry to hear that about your fingers. Hope it doesn't ever stop or affect your fishing.
The finished product looks really good even right now for breakfast for myself. The eyes do look different for sure. does anyone think it is from people flushing their prescription drugs down the toilet? The fish looks like it is under the influence.

Hah! Thanks very much! We still have 4 whole cooked ones and 4 uncooked ones in the freezer.
No, they were released from the hatchery that day. With the crossbreeding that I am sure they did, they don't look anything like pure blooded rainbows, they had whorls, color streaks and copper iridescent flashes along with the dual colored eyes. I am guessing heavily that they used Brook, brown or some similar but vastly different looking trout subspecies when they bred them.
A better view of the odd patterning on the whole lot

Me too, and thank you. I have been doing very well so far and I ordered a knot tying tool from Amazon last week and that should help.
Way to go Jess. Taking your Godmother fishing probably made hers and your day especially since you were given all those fish. They look delicious. Did she eat dinner with yโall? Tight lines Jess, and God Bless.

My tongue is practically beating my gums to death at the site of them fishies. They sure do look fine.
I'm gonna have to get some for my wife. She's got cancer and can't eat much but she still likes fish. It's hard for me to come up meals that will tempt her. Thanks much for the idea. You a nice lady.
Glad ta hear you got you some new toys. I'm sorry to hear about the nerve damage in your hands. When the doc took an artery from my left arm to use in making arterial grafts for my heart he cut a lot of nerves that left me with numb thumb and two numb fangers on my left paw, uh hand. It ain't fun is it? Easy to hurt yoursef since you can't feel it. All too easy to drop things too.
JA, thanks for the pics and story, sounded like a great day out doing something you love. Have a nice one.
A study of Jess actually fishing.
Is there beer in the ice chest?
