Going fishing abroad in a few weeks and they said the reels they use are the penn 340 gti multiplier .. have these reels changeable reel retrieve? as going by the pictures on their website there all right hand retrieve where as I retrieve with the left hand so want to know if those reels can be switched to left hand retrieve

No. The handle on conventionsl reels generally can't be swapped from one side to the other. If you want a left-retrieve, you have to find a model made in that configuration.

Why not call them and ask? They may be able to accomodate you if you give them time to do so.

They pretty much said They’re all multiplier so the all work left handed. Which I feel didn’t answer it much as all the pictures and videos are right hand retrieve

What are you fishing for? Most spinning gear has interchangeable handles. Conventional reels are most commonly a right handed retrieve

Fishing for catfish . I have always fished holding in my right hand and reeling with the left , I tried it the opposite way before and just had no strength to fight the fish
