I belong to the DesertFlycasters who meet in Chandler (Arizona) Elks Lodge. I also belong to Healing Waters. We teach wounded Vets how to tie different knots, how to tie flies, how to build a fly rod, and take them to a special place to catch their first trout on a fly that they tied on a rod they built. Check out for a group in your area. Good luck and tight lines, Barney Griffin

I'm glad you made it Denny.

I'm Chuck McKinney. From Morristown Tn. originally. Was a Builder and automatic rifleman in the Seabees. I'm 68 years old and live in Indiana now.

I've survived six heart attacks, a triple bypass, have 9 stents in the arteries on my heart. I also have severe spinal stenosis and am in almost constant pain. Two morphine tabs and two hydrocodone tabs daily doesn't begin to help. I've consulted five surgeons and all five refuse to operate saying that due to my heart and lung problems surgery will kill me. My cardiologist told me he hate's the thought of me ever needing another surgery.

In July of this year my wife was diagnosed with terminal lymphoma. Docs can't help her due to heart problems.

Not much else to tell. I fish when I can. I draw and paint a little. Used to shoot and, no brag...just fact, was very good at it. I still use Jui Jitsu when I have to altho I usually feel like I lost the fight since I hurt so bad from the exertion.

Tha..Th..th..tha..that's all folks.

Thank you Denny. Prayer is good and we need all we can get. I'm adding names to my list as I read and you're on it. Like I said I'm glad you made it. Many would not have.

Sitn Loc: Osyka, MS.

Sitn is my short name. Michael Sitton is my real name. You can call me whatever you want. I have been down that road too. Ok, born in Denver, CO. and spent two and a half years in Germany with my dad after WWII ended. Lived in El Paso, Texas for two years before moving to a small town named Cisco in Texas. Lived there for 28 years before moving to River Ridge, LA. Worked in N.O., LA for two years and then got smart and moved to Tylertown, MS. In 1981. OK. I moved to Osyka, MS about 10 years ago where I still reside on my grand parents place. I am Scotch Irish on my dads side (Sitton). German on my moms side, (Fortenberry). The Fortenberry was Falkenburg, then Falkenberry, then Fortenberry. There are two different spellings of the name. Fortenberry and Fortinberry. The Sutton’s are also known as Sutton, Seton, and a bunch others. I have traced my Sitton bunch back into the 1600’s. Different ones have fought in the Civil War on both sides, the North and the South. The Sittons were iron makers in England before coming to the States. Here the US Gov. gave them the right to mine iron ore and make farm tools. When the war came on they also make rifles for the South. I was a machinist for a company that rebuilt broadcast tubes for radio and tv stations. My uncle W. B. Freeland started the company in 1940. It shut down about 8 or so years ago. I bought the old South Bend lathe that was made in 1942 from them. It came from a US Navy ship. I could go on and on but you probably are tired listening to me by now. Soooooo, go wet a hook and enjoy yourself.
