Catching a show in the spring and thinking of fishing for a couple days afterwards. Any recs? Outfitters?

Assuming you mean Morrison, CO/Red Rocks Amphitheater? As a Golden-ite I usually go to Arbor Anglers for tackle or Golden River Sports for bugs. Depending on the time of year Bear Creek can be rather productive but do not expect solitude. Clear Creek Canyon has some nice pockets but also has a tendency for crowds. 39.742553, -105.401724 Here is a general spot with a trail along an oxbow of Clear Creek with an easily accessible trailhead. Or even try parking near Tunnel 3 in Clear Creek Canyon and follow the creek to get away from the noise of traffic. Note* stream flows may be wicked in the late Spring which sometimes makes fishing along those streams challenging not to mention dangerous. The Deckers area is rather popular and is a bit of a drive from Morrison, CO but is quite scenic and great for a hike-and-fish. Have fun!

Depending on when you're fishing in the spring, weather and runoff might influence your options. Clear Creek is often raging in the spring and not all that fishable (at least not super fun to fish). Deckers and Cheesman Canyon will likely be safe bets regardless of the weather and runoff conditions.

Good to know, thanks. I'm from Maryland - I always forget early May is "late winter" in the mountains.
