I started fishing very young. At the age of five I caught my first fish. My dad and uncle(Godfather) taught me the basics. My uncle introduced me to fly fishing in my teens.
Years later, my best friend and I took an Introduction to Fly Flying class. I landed a bluegill in a small pond after learning some basic casts. I was hooked!
I joined Flycasters after going to many meetings as a guest. The years that followed were filled with more casting lessons, and Fishouts.
Fly tying was not on my agenda until I watched a fellow flycaster copy a fly my best buddy had been using to land some monster crappies. Wholly fly fishing molly! Started taking fly tying classes at Flycasters. Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Tying my own flies since 1985!
I have fly fished all over California, and parts of Oregon, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, and Utah. Made couple trips to Mexico for dorado. Last year, made two buck list trips to Amazon and Caribbean.
